Innovation Programs.
Focused Technology Platforms with Industrial Impact.
IP FAB operates a limited number of focused innovation programs that are designed to generate scalable, industrially relevant material technologies. Rather than pursuing fragmented research activities, we concentrate our efforts on platform technologies with clear application potential and commercialization pathways.
Our innovation strategy combines internal development, industrial partnerships, and public funded projects to accelerate technology maturation and market deployment.
Innovation Programs.
AgriPV and Luminescent Greenhouse Films.
IP FAB develops spectral management technologies for agricultural and energy applications, including AgriPV systems and luminescent greenhouse foils. A core element of this platform is the stabilization of downconversion dyes through proprietary microencapsulation and formulation technologies, developed in close collaboration with LightCascade.
Within this long term partnership, IP FAB is responsible for technology development and industrial production, while LightCascade leads market introduction and coordinates agronomic research. These activities have resulted in commercial product families, including LitePlus™ solutions and AgriPV masterbatches, which are continuously expanded based on field feedback and ongoing R&D activities. These developments are supported through VLAIO funded innovation programs.

Innovation Programs.
Advanced Debonding and Delamination Technologies.
IP FAB is developing debonding on demand systems to enable improved recyclability, repairability, and end of life management of laminated and multi material products. This work is carried out in close collaboration with industrial and academic partners, including within the PVDEBOND program, in cooperation with imec, UHasselt, Soltech, Gallo, and the Bequerelle Institute, and is supported by imec.icon and VLAIO funding.
While this technology platform is still under development, recent progress has provided strong insight into the underlying mechanisms and performance limits. Current activities focus on extending these concepts to additional material systems and application domains beyond photovoltaic encapsulants and coatings, with ongoing development programs targeting new substrates, interfaces, and functional layers in other industrial sectors.

Innovation Programs.
Collaboration and funding.
IP FAB actively collaborates with industrial partners, universities, and research organizations within its innovation programs. Public and private funding mechanisms are leveraged to de-risk early stage development and accelerate scale up.
All programs are managed with a strong focus on intellectual property, industrial relevance, and partner value creation.
Open innovation.
We regularly initiate new innovation programs in response to emerging market needs and technological opportunities. Industrial partners interested in joint development, co creation, or early adoption are invited to explore collaboration opportunities with IP FAB.
