IP FAB was founded in 2017 as a specialized consultancy company, initially focused on polymer materials for photovoltaic applications. From the start, our objective was to support industrial partners with deep technical expertise, practical problem solving, and reliable project execution.
From these early consultancy activities, we systematically reinvested our revenues into laboratory, pilot, and testing infrastructure. Step by step, this approach allowed us to evolve from a pure consultancy firm into an integrated technology and development offering.
Today, IP FAB combines contract R&D, pilot scale processing, and advanced validation capabilities, enabling us to support partners from early concept to industrial implementation.

From Consultancy to Technology Platform.
Over the years, our activities have expanded from advisory support to full scale material development and validation programs. In parallel, we invested continuously in compounding, formulation, microencapsulation, coating, and system level testing capabilities.
More recently, we have strengthened our pilot scale master batching and compounding infrastructure and developed close production partnerships that allow the manufacture of functional foils and laminated structures under industrial conditions.
Our next phase of development focuses on further investment in flexible and scalable production capacity, to ensure an efficient transition from development to series manufacturing.

Leadership built on science and experience.
IP FAB is led by its founder and CEO, Kristof Proost, PhD in Chemistry (University of Antwerp). He gained his first industrial R&D experience at DuPont in the Packaging an Industrial Polymers, before becoming CTO of the PV encapsulant production start-up NovoPolymers. In 2017, he co-founded IP FAB together with Elise De Rudder.
Kristof brings extensive experience in analytical and polymer chemistry, process development, and industrial upscaling. The company is managed with a strong focus on scientific rigor, technological application and customer orientation, while always maintaining respect for people and the environment. Strategic decisions are guided by sustainable growth objectives and in close alignment with partner needs.
